If you:

have already applied for university courses
through SATAC but did not apply for the STAT, or
·
are not applying for courses through SATAC
but you need to sit STAT Multiple Choice and/or STAT
Written English in South Australia or the Northern
Territory,
you can arrange to sit the test/s by following the
instructions below.
Cost of STAT sittings
The cost for a normal sitting of the STAT Multiple Choice
is $86.00. An alternative sitting (see below) costs
an additional $56.00, making a total cost of
$142.00.
These fees must be sent to SATAC with the
application form.
The cost for a normal sitting of the STAT Written English
is $56.00. An alternative sitting costs an
additional $56.00, making a total cost of $112.00.
These fees must be sent to SATAC with the
application form.
How to book for a STAT sitting in SA or NT
1.
Print the
STAT application form
2.
Choose a suitable sitting from the list below and
write the details in the ‘Venue’ section of the
application form.
3.
Complete all other sections of the form. Missing
information may delay processing of your form.
4.
Send the completed form, with payment of the
required fees, to the STAT Coordinator, SATAC, PO
Box 2, Rundle Mall SA 5000.
Note that your STAT booking is not confirmed until the
application form and payment have been processed by
SATAC.

Alternate STAT Multiple Choice sittings (extra
fee payable)
From 11 June 2010 all organised sittings have
closed and therefore you must request an
alternate sitting. Note that your STAT
results will not be available to SATAC in time for the main
offer round.
Select sitting code 999 on your STAT application
form and pay both the STAT fee and the alternate
sitting fee. The STAT Coordinator at SATAC will
advise you of arrangements for your test
sitting.
STAT Written English sittings
From 11 June 2010 all organised sittings have
closed and therefore you must request and pay
for an alternate sitting. Contact the STAT
Coordinator at SATAC to discuss arrangements.
Confirmation of
testing arrangements
A minimum of one week before your scheduled
test, SATAC will send you a letter confirming
your test venue, date and time, together with a
Candidate Information Booklet. To prepare for
the test you should read the Candidate
Information Booklet carefully, especially the
test centre procedures on page 6.
Do you need assistance to sit the STAT due to a
disability?
If you require
assistance to sit the STAT because of a disability
or medical condition you should follow the
instructions under ‘Assistance to sit the STAT’ on
the application form. The STAT Coordinator will
contact you to determine your needs. You will be
required to provide independent documentation,
normally from a health professional, describing the
exact conditions you require in order to sit the
test.
SATAC will make
every effort to accommodate your needs, but it
cannot do so unless advised. Note that applicants
requiring special conditions are not normally
accommodated in the organised sittings listed above.
A special sitting will be held in the SATAC Office
on
Monday 21 June 2010 for applicants
in the Adelaide metropolitan area and surrounds.
Sitting dates, times and locations will be
negotiated for SA country or NT applicants.

are included in the Candidate Information Booklet
which is available on the
ACER website.
If you apply to sit the STAT a copy of this booklet
will be posted to you. Past question papers are not
available.
Further sample
questions and answers are provided in the STAT
Sample Collection of Questions which is available
from the SATAC office to any interested person (not
just STAT applicants) for $19.50.

Notification
of your STAT results
STAT test papers
are marked by ACER in Melbourne and returned to
SATAC, normally within two weeks of your test
sitting. SATAC will send you a written statement of
your results. SATAC university applicants can also
access their STAT results through Services for
current applicants on UniWeb.
Re-print of your STAT results
