Tuesday 25 November 2014

The equal consideration closing date for most university undergraduate courses starting in semester 1 2015 is Monday 1 December 2014. Submit your SATAC application before this date to be guaranteed equal consideration for selection.

Equal consideration is a central principle of the SATAC admission system. It means that all applicants who have the same selection rank for a course will be treated equally, i.e. either all or none will be entitled to an offer.

If you lodge your application by the closing date, and comply with all other application requirements, you will be guaranteed equal consideration in the selection process.

You can still lodge an application after 1 December but there are a number of consequences:

  • You must pay a late fee (applies to all applications submitted after 30 September).
  • If offers are made to late applicants they will most likely be made in February, not in the January rounds.
  • You may not be given equal consideration in the selection process.

For advice on submitting a late application contact SATAC or the relevant university admissions office.
