Find the answers to our most frequently asked questions about TAFE SA applications.

Check your spam or junk email folder in the first instance. If the email is not received after a few hours it may be that there is a technical issue, or you’ve mistyped your email address. Contact SATAC and we will check for you.

All applications are submitted online. Information on how to apply, what happens after you apply and details of how TAFE SA selects applicants can be found on the Clarify page. 

When you have reached the maximum number of offers in your TAFE SA application you will not be able to make any further changes to your preferences, or receive any more offers.

SATAC applications for TAFE SA courses are free.

If your qualifications don’t meet CAR for the course you’re interested in, in most cases you can arrange to sit the TAFE SA Assessment of Basic Skills (TABS), as satisfactory achievement in this test meets CAR for most courses.

Many TAFE SA courses are also offered at different levels. If you don’t meet the CAR for the Diploma level of a course, you may be able to apply for the same course at Certificate III level if your qualifications meet CAR for the lower level.
