AVCC/DETYA Statistics
IMPORTANT NOTE
From the 2000/2001 Statistical Collections onwards, the Australian Vice Chancellors Committee (AVCC) and the Department of Employment, Training and Youth Affairs (DETYA) have agreed to use common definitions regarding the definitions of a "University" applicant as opposed to a "TAFE" applicant based on the former DETYA definition involving institutions represented by applicants' first two preferences.
For the 2001 Statistics Handbook, AVCC tables have been produced using both the pre-2001 defintions and the 2001 and onwards definitions.
From the 2002 Statistics Handbook onwards, only the 2001 definitions will be used.
