Statistics

SATAC Statistics

SATAC makes available to the public general statistics regarding its applicant population. Over twenty statistical tables are provided for each admissions cycle. These include analyses by:

  • applicant type;
  • Australian Bureau of Statistics statistical region;
  • age;
  • sex;
  • field of education of each applicant’s most preferred course.

In addition, the annual statistical returns provided to the Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training and to the Australian Vice-Chancellors’ Committee are provided.

Please note that SATAC does not publish statistics by educational institution, or for individual courses.

Some tables in the statistics webs were also previously available in the SATAC Annual Report, produced until 1998. For such tables, the corresponding table numbers as published in the Annual Reports are shown.
