SATAC (the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre) was first formed in
1976 and currently provides a service to TAFE SA, the three South
Australian universities and Charles Darwin University by receiving and processing applications for
admission.
In providing this service, SATAC applies the rules and conditions set by the
member institutions.
What SATAC does:

receives and processes applications for TAFE SA courses

acknowledges each application
-
assesses the qualifications and other information provided by applicants
according to selection rules and guidelines set by TAFE SA

ranks eligible applicants for each course in order of merit

makes offers according to quotas set by TAFE SA
-
advises successful applicants of the course they have been offered.
