Youth Allowance is
available to eligible full-time students aged 16 to 24; full-time students aged
25 or over who were getting Youth Allowance before they turned 25 and are still
doing the same course; and young people up to 21 who are combining part-time
study with other approved activities.
Austudy
is available to eligible students aged 25 years and over who are studying
full-time or those needing to study part-time because they have a
substantial disability.

more information about these payments and how to claim, phone

ABSTUDY provides
financial assistance for Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who
undertake approved full-time and part-time study. ABSTUDY Living Allowance and other allowances are available to assist students with
expenses associated with study. For more information about ABSTUDY and how to
claim, phone 13

PENSIONER EDUCATION SUPPLEMENT (PES)
PES is a
fortnightly income and assets free payment available to certain Centrelink and Department of Veterans' Affairs customers who are undertaking full
or part-time study. The part-time study must be at least 25% of the normal
full-time study load and can be approved for sole parents, carers, and people
with a substantial disability. PES recipients other than Veterans' Affairs
pensioners can also receive an Education Entry Payment once a year. Students on
ABSTUDY PES are not eligible for an Education Entry Payment but can receive
an Incidentals Allowance instead. For more information about PES, phone 13
