You can find information about the relevant closing date(s) for each GradStart
course in GradSearch.
The information provided below is important because if you lodge an application
for a GradStart course after the relevant closing date you may be affected in one or more of the
following ways:
-
your application may not be considered at all
- you may not be
given equal consideration
DEEMED DATE OF RECEIPT OF YOUR APPLICATION
The date of receipt of a GradStart application is deemed to be the date
on which your GradStart application is successfully submitted ie
GradStart
has provided you with a SATAC GradStart reference number.
EQUAL CONSIDERATION
The concept of equal consideration is a central principle of the SATAC
admissions system. Equal consideration means that all applicants who have the
same selection rank for a course are treated
equally ie either all or none will be entitled to an offer.
If you lodge your application by the relevant closing date
and comply with all the application requirements, you will be guaranteed equal consideration in the
selection process. If, however, you lodge a late application
or do not comply with all the application requirements, you
will not be guaranteed equal consideration.
LODGING A LATE APPLICATION
If you wish to lodge an application after
the relevant closing date, you are strongly advised
to contact either SATAC or the Admissions Office at the university concerned
(or, in the case of the University of South Australia, the
Future Student Enquiries Office) before doing so. Some courses may decide
closer to the time to
extend their published closing date; if so, enquirers will be
advised accordingly.
