Eligibility to use VET qualifications

Your eligibility to apply on the basis of a VET qualification depends on the level of your qualification.

For University of South Australia programs, it will also depend on whether you have also studied at higher education level.

The rules for applying with a VET qualification vary between institutions and from course to course.

Use course search to check the admission criteria for individual courses.

In most cases, the selection rank you receive for your VET qualification will be based on the level of the award. For some courses such as Nursing, your rank may be adjusted if your VET qualification is in a related field.

If you have studied towards a bachelor degree at a TAFE or RTO and it is listed on the Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency (TEQSA) National Register, you may be eligible to apply under the higher education pathway.
