If you’re ready to apply for a TAFE SA course you might be wondering where to begin with your SATAC application. To help you get started we’ve put together a quick guide to applying for TAFE SA courses through SATAC.
Starting your application
At the top of this page choose ‘TAFE SA’ then ‘Apply for courses’. The application page contains some important information for international applicants and applicants who are under 16 years of age.
There may be different options for courses starting at different times of the year, if so, choose the option that best fits your needs.
Inside the application
First you will need to register by telling us a bit about yourself, and agreeing to the terms and conditions of application.
If you have applied for a TAFE SA course through SATAC in the past you can log in using your username and password (if you can’t remember them use the links on the page and SATAC will send you the information you need).
In the application you will need to tell us:
- a bit about who you are and how to contact you
- which courses you would like to study (your course preferences)
- for some courses with admission requirements you may be asked for information about your current studies or any study you have completed prior to this application.
After you apply
Once your application is submitted you can use SATAC’s online application services to provide any supporting documents (if needed), change your preferences if you need to, update your contact details and check the status of your application and offers.
If a course you have applied for requires you to sit the Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA) you will be able to book a sitting of the test 24 hours after submitting your application by contacting TAFE SA on 8417 0501.
If you apply for a course that makes immediate offers then SATAC will email you the details on behalf of TAFE SA. For courses that don’t make immediate offers there are several offer rounds throughout the year.
If you haven’t decided on which courses to apply for yet you will find lots of information online to help you explore your options. Visit Study Assist and take the career quiz or speak to TAFE SA and check their website for more information and advice about course options.
