SATAC University Guide 2009

The SATAC University Guide 2009 is published by SATAC on behalf of the
three universities in SA and Charles Darwin University in the Northern
Territory. It is a convenient single volume explaining the requirements for
entry to courses and how to go about lodging an application. The Guide
also includes descriptions of all university courses offered through SATAC.
The SATAC University
Guide 2009 contains information which will assist you in:
. Identifying courses
of interest to you
. Determining whether you are eligible for entry
. Making an application
. Understanding the SATAC admissions system
Each university
publishes a range of booklets which contain more detail about their academic
programs/courses. These should be consulted along with the Guide.
The SATAC University
Guide 2009 will be available from newsagents throughout Australia in
early August for $10.00. If copies are not in stock, your newsagent can order a

Current year 12
students in South Australia and the Northern Territory receive a copy of the
'schools edition' of the Guide through their school.
A single copy of the Guide
is sent to every secondary school with year 12 enrolments throughout Australia.
TAFE
SA Course and Admissions Guide 2009

The TAFE SA Course and Admissions Guide 2009 is published by SATAC on
behalf of TAFE SA to provide a convenient single volume explaining the
requirements for entry to courses and how to go about lodging an application.
The Guide also includes descriptions of all TAFE SA courses,
regardless of whether applications are made through SATAC or direct to the TAFE
SA campus.
The TAFE

Tertiary Entrance 2009, 2010, 2011 is published by SATAC on behalf of
the three universities in South Australia, Charles Darwin University in the
Northern Territory and TAFE SA.
The booklet provides
information about tertiary entrance requirements for South Australian
Certificate of Education (SACE) and Northern Territory Certificate of Education
(NTCE) students. It is designed to assist year 10, 11 and 12 students to make
subject choices which will maximise their opportunities for tertiary study.
Each edition provides
detailed course-by-course information for the coming year and highlights
changes to entrance requirements planned for the following two years. It
includes an explanation of the calculation of the University Aggregate,
Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) and TAFE Selection Score.
Tertiary Entrance 2009,
2010, 2011 is made available free of charge to all students in years
10, 11 and 12 in South Australia and the Northern Territory. The booklet is
also available over the counter from SATAC.
International Baccalaureate 2009, 2010, 2011

This booklet serves a similar purpose to the tertiary entrance booklet for
SACE/NTCE students, but is designed to meet the needs of those enrolled in the
International Baccalaureate. Each edition provides detailed information about
the coming entry year requirements and foreshadows planned changes for the
following two years
The booklet is
distributed free of charge to all International Baccalaureate students and is
also available over the counter from SATAC.

provided as an aid to understanding the process used to scale year 12 SACE
Stage 2 scores gained by school students in South Australia and the
Northern Territory.
