Many courses make offers to all eligible applicants. For competitive courses, SATAC ranks eligible applicants to establish a merit order for selection.
Ranking is usually based on academic merit, calculated as a Grade Point Average (GPA). SATAC calculates a GPA for each higher education course you have completed at an Australian institution (or overseas equivalent) for at least one full-time semester. Selection is generally based on your best GPA.
