SATAC processes Equity Scholarships on behalf of Adelaide University

Equity Scholarships are for undergraduate students who are experiencing financial hardship.

General eligibility requirements

You can apply for an Equity Scholarship through SATAC if you:

  • Have an offer to begin undergraduate study at Adelaide University,
  • Are an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, and
  • You can demonstrate financial barriers to accessing post-secondary study. 

Applicants who are continuing their study from previous semesters, undertaking postgraduate or online study, or are international students, should enquire with the university directly. 

Supporting information

You will need to provide supporting information with your Equity Scholarships application. 

Offer of study 

You will need to provide your SATAC undergraduate application reference number. 

Proof of financial barriers 

If you receive a Commonwealth means-tested income support payment you will need:
 
  • Your Centrelink Customer Reference Number (CRN), or 
  • Your Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) file number 
 
If you do not receive a Commonwealth means-tested support payment you will need to supply Australian Tax Office Notices of Assessment for each person earning taxable income in your household for the last two financial years. If a person’s annual income is below the tax-free threshold, you may provide a statutory declaration as evidence of their income. 

Rural/regional ranking 

For consideration for rural or regional ranking, you will need: 
 
  • Your permanent residence postcode 
  • The state that you moved to for study 
  • To provide the names and postcodes of the schools you attended for the last two years of your secondary schooling
