SATAC is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
Our board comprises a combination of independent directors and non-executive member-nominated directors from our member institutions, forming a collective and knowledgeable body.
SATAC Board of Directors
Rob DiMonte – Chair
Rob DiMonte was appointed as the independent Chair of SATAC in October 2022. Rob is a highly accomplished non-executive Director, Chair and Deputy Chair with commercial, financial, strategic and risk expertise in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. His portfolio of directorships includes health, welfare and the environment, notably focusing on South Australia and its people.
Tony Mitchell – Independent Director
Tony Mitchell is an independent director of SATAC. Tony is a highly experienced senior executive and non-executive director with an extensive background in general and financial management across a diverse range of organisations. Tony joined the board in March 2022.
Fiona Champion – Director
Fiona Champion is a senior executive with over 20 years’ experience spanning the education, government, and health sectors in a range of roles including corporate affairs, public policy, government relations, marketing, media relations and communications. Fiona is the Executive Director, Students, Strategic Planning and Policy at TAFE SA. Fiona joined SATAC as a director in January 2026.
Fiona Coulson – Director
Fiona Coulson is the Provost at Charles Darwin University. Fiona has held a range of senior university executive positions and academic roles over the past twenty years, and has led degree, vocational and research teams, with academic expertise in pharmacology, physiology, immunology, and biochemistry. Fiona was appointed as a director of SATAC in May 2023.
Tony Dalwood – Director
Tony Dalwood is the Associate Director, IT Student Success Technology, at Adelaide University. Tony is a highly experienced IT leader who has worked in various executive and senior leadership and consultancy roles across the education, technology, and government sectors. Tony was appointed as a director of SATAC in January 2026.
Romy Lawson - Director
Romy Lawson has been actively involved in teaching and learning development in higher education for over 20 years in both the UK and Australia. As the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Flinders University, Romy has expertise in learning and teaching innovation, and student experience. Romy joined SATAC in March 2024.
SATAC Senior Management Team
Stuart Mossman – Chief Executive Officer
Stuart is Chief Executive Officer, a position he has held since March 2018. A Chartered Accountant with a broad commercial background including finance, business improvement and software solutions delivery, Stuart has worked primarily within the higher education and professional services sectors.
Jianna Hudson – General Manager, Strategy & Business Enablement
Jianna is an experienced professional with over 15 years’ experience in service strategy design, strategic relationships management, business development and improvement, and portfolio management. Jianna joined SATAC in August 2020.
Rob Aitken – Chief Information Officer
Rob is Chief Information Officer with extensive executive management experience including the leading of strategic and operational delivery of business outcomes. Rob joined SATAC in March 2021.
Alyssa James – General Manager, Customer Engagement and Success
Alyssa joined SATAC in December 2022, bringing more than 20 years' experience in people and business leadership across a diverse range of industries.
