SATAC provides information and advice to the community about applying for tertiary study.

As well as holding information sessions for schools during the year, we also attend events and expos to engage with school staff, prospective applicants, and their families.

Counsellor information sessions

SATAC holds counsellor information sessions each year for those who advise and counsel prospective tertiary applicants.

Counsellor information sessions are an opportunity for school staff to learn about SATAC processes. Sessions take place in Term 3, both online and in-person.

Student and parent information sessions

SATAC offers sessions for students in Years 10, 11 and 12, and their families in Term 3. These sessions cover topics such as:

  • ATAR calculation
  • SATAC application processes
  • Admission pathways for university

External events

SATAC attends events throughout the year including:

  • Tertiary studies and careers expos

  • Community information sessions

  • University and community open days
