Student studying in university

While SATAC provides the information you need to make an informed decision, it’s your responsibility to ensure you meet the requirements for any course you apply for.

You can apply for future courses while you are currently studying the program you intend to use to satisfy any entry requirements. We will ask you to provide evidence of your current study, which you can submit once the required documentation becomes available.

 

Applying with qualifications earned overseas

SATAC assesses qualifications using the Australian Government Department of Education Country Education Profiles to determine how overseas study compares to the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Qualification levels can vary between countries. For example, an overseas qualification that appears equivalent to a bachelor’s degree may not always align directly with Australian requirements.

Where possible, SATAC will:

  • Assess overseas qualifications in line with Australian standards

  • Create an equivalent for Year 12 level qualifications comparable to the

  • Convert results (such as GPA) into a common scale to allow fair comparison across different education systems
